Cavalia Horse Show Comes to Marymoor Park This Winter

"Cavalia: A Magical Encounter Between Human and Horse" will debut in Redmond on Jan. 24.

ο»Ώ in Redmond will be the site of a lavish production featuring acrobats, dancers, musicians and 45 horses from around the world this winter as Cavalia: A Magical Encounter Between Human and Horse returns to the Seattle area.

The show, created by Cirque du Soleil co-founder Normand Latourelle, will premiere in Redmond on Jan. 18, 2012, at Marymoor Park under the White Big Top, a 26,264-square-foot tent that rises 100 feet high. The production will include projections onto a 210-foot screen and other visual effects, and the audience will be seated in front of a 160-foot stage that enables horses to gallop at full speed during the show.

β€œThe show has travelled across both North America and Europe over the past seven years. Cavalia is continually evolving to highlight not only the strengths and personalities of new artists and horses, but to present them in virtual settings created by the latest multi-media technology available," Latourelle said in a news release. "We look forward to sharing this new experience with the Seattle community.”

Tickets to Cavalia are available for sale today online at www.cavalia.net or by calling 1-866-999-8111. General admission prices range from $54.50 to $ 99.50, plus applicable fees.
