City Launches Sustainability Website

The new site includes tools for tracking your consumption and carbon footprint.

The City of Redmond has launched a new website designed to promote community and city sustainability efforts, provide information to residents and businesses and allow residents to interact with and learn from one another in a fun and compelling way.

The new site can be found at www.impactredmond.com. Components include:

  • an interactive element for live tracking of users’ resource consumption; an easy to use carbon calculator;
  • information on the city’s sustainability programs in energy, resources, development, stewardship and transportation;
  • case studies showcasing local residents who have taken steps towards living a more sustainable lifestyle and a pledge card for ways to make a positive impact; and
  • links to blogs and community discussion boards that help facilitate the sharing of information.

The Impact Redmond website was possible through funding provided by the Department of Energy through an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant. It was developed by local web design firm Bullseye Creative.

For additional information about the website, contact Cathy Beam at 425-556-2429 or cbeam@redmond.gov.
