City Seeks New Poet Laureate

The City of Redmond is looking for a new poet laureate to replace , whose term ends in June.

The city's poet laureate works to heighten literary awareness in the community through several activities and initiatives. Meredith, the city's first poet laureate, has spent her tenure teaching workshops in local schools and organizing literary events such as the at Derby Days.

The next poet laureate will take over in July and serve for one year, with an option to renew for an additional year.
