Track Santa Through Redmond Using New GIS Application

For the first time, Redmond residents are now able to follow Kris Kringle through town using an online app.

Want to track Santa as he makes his annual trek through Redmond? There's an app for that.

The city has launched its brand new GIS application at redmond.gov/santa. Residents can use the app to see where Jolly Ol' Saint Nick will be on any given evening and even track his immediate location in real time.

Now through Dec. 21, Santa will be traveling neighborhood to neighborhood in an antique fire truck supplied by the Redmond Firefighters Union Local 2829.

Community members are encouraged to come outside and greet Santa as he travels through their neighborhood. Volunteers on the truck will collect non-perishable food, holiday gifts and cash donations (up to $500) for Redmond-based Hopelink.
