City and PSE Team Up to Host Re-Energize Your Lighting Event

October is energy efficiency awareness month and the City of Redmond and PSE are teaming up to provide residents with energy efficient light bulbs at deeply discounted prices!

The lighting in your home can represent up to 20% of your home's energy use.  One of the easiest and most inexpensive ways to save energy is to replace your traditional incandescent bulbs for LED and the latest generation of compact flourescent light bulbs.  These bulbs not only use substantially less energy, they last longer than traditional bulbs.

The Re-Energize Your Lighting Event will take place on Tuesday October 16th from 11 am to 7 pm in the lobby of Redmond City Hall.  This event is cash or check only.

A sample of some of the savings include:

  • LED Dimmable A19 2-Pack for $20
  • Spiral CFL bulbs from $1
  • 90 watt CFL floodlights for $5
  • 3-way 100 watt CFL bubls for $5
  • Re-Energize Starter Kit, a $60 value, for $5. (limit 1 per customer)
    • 8-60 w Warm white CFLs
    • 4-60 w Bright white spiral CFLs
    • 1.5 GPM Chrome Showerhead
  • Re-Energize Whole-Home Kit, a $100 value, for $20 (limit 1 per customer)
    • 8 - 60 w Warm white CFLs
    • 4 - 60 w Bright white spiral CFLs
    • 2 - 7w LEDs

    • 2 - 1.5 GPM Dual thread aerators
    • 1.5 GPM Dual spray swivel aerator

Saving energy will not only save you money, but reduces our impact on the environment.

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
