Redmond Groups to Hold Work Parties in Honor of Martin Luther King Day

Looking for a way to give back this Martin Luther King Day?

Green Redmond Partnership will host two work parties next Monday as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, a national effort that calls on individuals and neighborhoods to mark the annual holiday by engaging in a day of community service.

Both the work party at  and the one at  go from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Also on Monday,  will be hosting a wetland clean-up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on West Lake Sammamish Parkway near and the club's new boathouse. Click here for more information or to sign up.

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
