A black bear was photographed Wednesday, May 29, 2013 northeast of Redmond, according to KOMO-News.
Svetlana Smacinih posed a question on the Redmond Ridge Facebook page Saturday: "Hi, have you ever seen the bear in our Redmond ridge area? Do you know can they be here? ;)"
One response came from Heather Arvidson Choe who said:
"I haven't seen one, but I know for sure that they live in the woods around our neighborhood. I know other people who have seen them and they are frequently sending reminders for people to put their trash cans behind fences so that the bears won't be tempted."
