Cascade Foothills Could See Snow by Mid-Week

The mountain passes, meanwhile, are expected to get heavy snow on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Cascade foothills will likely get a dusting of snow on Wednesday night, as snow levels drop around the Puget Sound region.

In Redmond, the National Weather Service says snow and rain showers are likely after 10 p.m. on Wednesday. The snow level will be 500 feet, and little or no accumulation is expected.

On Thursday, the snow level will continue dropping to 300 feet, but the chance of precipitation will also decrease, to 30 percent.

Meanwhile, the mountain passes will see heavy snowfall into the middle of the week. Snoqualmie Pass is forecast to get 5-9 inches Tuesday and another 2-4 inches on Wednesday; Stevens Pass could see accumulations above 15 inches by Thursday.

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
