Fallen Tree Limb Causes Power Outage in Southeast Redmond

About 700 customers lost power earlier this morning.

Original post: A downed tree limb has left approximately 700 Puget Sound Energy customers in southeast Redmond without power this morning.

The outage took place at around 8 a.m. when a tree limb fell onto a power line near State Route 202 and Sahalee Way Northeast, according to PSE spokesperson Abigail Elliott. Crews are currently on the scene to locate the limb and assess the damage.

At this time, there is no estimation for what time power will be restored, Elliott said.

The Washington State Department of Transportation also sent out a Tweet at around 9:15 a.m. saying some signals on SR 202 were dark because of the outage.
