  • Why Go: Help support the Root Connection's 2011 Season opening day by picking up a few plant starts for your garden or home. No "hot" greenhouses or growth stimulants here. The plant starts you buy from Root Connection are 100 percent organic. 
  • Cost: Admission is free.

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. Friday at the  in Totem Lake.
  • Why Go: If you don't already have tickets to Jane Monheit at the KPC, don't bother trying, it's completely sold out. The next best bet for local live music is a rockabilly show at the Yuppie Pawn. The Hard Money Saints are a big name in the rockabilly world and are sure to put on a great show. Never heard of them? Orange Blossom Society Earth Day Celebration

  • Why Go: Celebrate Earth Day this weekend by bringing the kids to plant a tree to take home, participate in a recycled art project, and hear stories about Mother Earth.

Redmond Eggstravaganza Community Event

  • Where/When: 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the
  • Why Go: Looking for a family friendly way to celebrate Easter this weekend? Come on down to the Redmond Eggstravaganza on Saturday morning. There will be face painting, arts and crafts, Easter Bunny photos and even a Patch booth. A pancake breakfast will be served from 8 to 10 a.m. and 10 a.m. to noon. The egg hunt begins promptly at 10 a.m.
  • Pricing: The egg hunt is free, but a $3 donation is suggested for Easter Bunny photos. The pancake breakfast costs $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and kids ages 3 to 12. Children 2 and under are free.

  • Where/When: 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday at Munchbar in Bellevue.
  • Why Go: If rubbing shoulders with celebrities is on your to do list, make Muchbar in Bellevue your destination this Saturday night. Munchbar will be throwing Carmen Electra a birthday celebration all night long. 
  • Pricing: $10 cover (includes your first drink ticket) 21+ w/ID.
