  • Where/When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Redmond Saturday Market.
  • Why Go: The Eastside's oldest farmers' market is back! Join Redmond Mayor John Marchione for the ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. followed by a performance from the Redmond High School Pep Band. The rest of the day is filled will special events, including a performance by the Anzanga Marimba Ensemble, children's activities and more. Did I mention fresh produce, flowers and homemade goods? They have that stuff too! Enjoy the day at the market, but come dressed for rain. The weekend's weather forecast is predicting a 70 percent chance of precipitation on Saturday.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.


  • Where/When: 8 p.m. Friday at .
  • Why Go: It's the final round of the fifth-annual Classic Rockathon. Local bands D-FrostPave the EarthLos Gentlemen and Stuck on a Bus will be competing for a variety of prizes, including studio recording time, gift cards and music gear. Come out and support these local bands as they perform covers of rock music from 1950-1995. 
  • Pricing: The entrance fee is $8 or $7 for fans wearing '80s attire.

  • Where/When: Noon to 10 p.m. Saturday at .
  • Why Go: Help Redmond's own Black Raven Brewery celebrate its second anniversary this Saturday with an all-day "flock party" featuring live music and a large selection of limited, rare and cask beers. The live music line-up includes: Every Single Day, Four on the Floor, Dub Lounge International, and Hard Money Saints.
  • Pricing: No cover. Many food and drink stations will be cash only.


  • Where/When: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the .
  • Why Go: Dealing with plant or garden drama? Don't give up just yet, visit the Redmond Town Center and see if one of the certified King County Master Gardeners can help figure out what you need to do at this free weekly gardening clinic. Feel free to bring along plant samples to be identified  or diagnosed.
  • Pricing: Free.


  • Where/When: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Seattle Laestadian Lutheran Church
  • Why Go: Take care of all your Mother's Day shopping needs in one spot this year. Come and shop from the large selection of flowers, baked goods, and those little homemade crafts that all Moms love. Or, if your Mom is harder to please, bring her along and let her pick out some new additions for her garden at home. 
  • Cost: Admission is free.
