Great Escape: A Short Trip For A Great Day On The Slopes

For your extra powder pleasure, the Rome Stoken snowboard event takes to the slopes this weekend.

Even though spring has arrived, some of us are still itching for some time on the slopes. Spring skiing continues to mid-April, so when the sun peeks out, let’s not forget the joy of a brisk day on a great ski run.

There’s still time to take advantage of a great day or evening of skiing not far from home. Snoqualmie Pass has had a few inches of new snow in the last couple of days, perfect for a last hurrah up the mountain. Lift tickets are $58 for the day, or $39 for night skiing. Special spring season passes are also available. The mountain offers Nordic skiing, tubing and snowshoeing packages adventures as well, if speed is not your thing.

If you want to enjoy a good un-competition, this weekend the Rome Stoken crew will take to the Snoqualmie slopes, enjoying the park’s features by way of a mash-up of tongue-in-halfpipe snowboarding events.
