Local hotel has a wine-tasting package that makes for a great escape close to home.

I once read that quote in a seminal parenting tome, What to Expect The First Year, and it has really stuck with me (even if date night wasn’t exactly what the authors meant to propose). You can take your own "Go to town" escape with a romantic wine and dine getaway in Redmond.
The wine tasting package includes a deluxe overnight room, buffet breakfast for two, a customized wine set from Marriott, as well as complimentary wine tastings and discounted purchases at Chateau Ste. Michelle, Silver Lake and Janiuk Wineries.
The package also includes overnight valet parking. Prices start at $159.
