How to Share Your Local News and Info on Redmond Patch
Here's how to get your info out to your local community on Patch.
Now more than ever, Patch takes a village to help everyone find the important local information in one great interactive place. Here's how you can share your news and info on the site.
First, create a free account if you don't have one. Just click "Join" on the upper right corner of the home page, enter your name and email address.
Now, here's how you can share your news:
Announcements, Opinions, Business News, Buy & Sell Boards
You have information you want to share with the community; here's how:
Click here for our great local boardsStart typing — your neighbors want to know the latest. (Tip: Uploading a photo or video will make your contribution standout.)
Find out what's happening in Redmondwith free, real-time updates from Patch.
Choose the board that best fits your topic.
Hit “Post Now.”

It’s live for everyone to see. Be sure to share the link on your social media networks.
Blog on Patch
You're an expert in your field, or simply have a desire to go more in depth on topics that interest you and start a conversation. Here's how:
Click here to go right to our blog creation page
Start writing. It doesn’t have to be perfect. (Just don’t use all caps!)
Upload a photo to illustrate your blog that you own or have permission to use. You can also just use a Patch logo offered on the page.
Hit “Create your blog”
Success! You Created a Blog! Now you can:
Write your first post
Share something and it will appear on the home page.
Dress up your blog.
Add cover photos.
Tell your followers on Twitter
Find your blog in the "Your Blogs" menu next to your Profile
Share Event Listings
You have a great community event coming up and you want to get some butts in the seats! Here's how:Click here to go right to our events section.
Start typing. The more details you can provide the better. (Tip: include the times in the body of the event as well as with the drop down menu)
Uploading a photo or video will make your event stand out
Hit “Post Now.”
It’s live for everyone to see. Be sure to share the link on your social media networks. (Tip: You can also post the event as an announcement-a virtual "save the date" card that will appear in the following morning's Patch newsletter)
