Update: Marymoor Park Area Power Outage Caused by Tree Limb

A power outage was reported in the Marymoor Park area of Redmond Monday morning.

Update 3:30 p.m. Monday: Puget Sound Energy officials said Monday afternoon that the power outage in the Marymoor Park area of Redmond was caused by a tree limb on a power line.

Puget Sound Energy spokeswoman MacKenzie McDowell said the outage happened around 4:30 a.m. and lasted just over two hours. It affected 2,561 customers.

A power outage occurred early Monday morning in the Marymoor Park area of Redmond.

Hitomi Mimi Tonegawa Somics posted on the Puget Sound Energy Facebook page at about 6:50 a.m. that power was out in the area, and while she posted again about an hour later that her power was back, another person said power was still out.

While there are no weather warnings today, according to the National Weather Service Seattle, showers are likely, mainly before 4 p.m. with winds west southwest from 10 to 16 mph.
