Pet of the Week: Ally the Saluki Mix

Ally is looking for a forever home, and 11th Hour Animal Rescue is looking for caring foster homes for other pets.

Ally is a charming 1-2 year old Saluki/yellow lab mix. She is fully grown, so you know what you are getting! Ally is housetrained, spayed and up on all of her shots. She loves other dogs and is the perfect gal to hang out with another dog in the family or head to the dog park. She enjoys children and adults and would be perfect for a person or family that is looking for a forever friend. Her short, easy to maintain coat makes her just right for the Northwest weather.

Ally was rescued by the Issaquah-based 11th Hour Animal Rescue and Sanctuary and is currently living in a foster home until she is adopted.

11th Hour Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a small, independent collection of animals and animal lovers. Founded in 2004, they are a safe haven for animals of all kinds including dogs, llama's, alpacas, and goats. They are dedicated to the rescue of animals that would otherwise face a certain death in high kill shelters across the nation. Their focus is saving dogs that are down to their last hours and in urgent need of rescue.

11th Hour does not have a brick and mortar shelter, but instead works with loving foster families to keep the dogs until permanent homes are found.  All dogs have been vaccinated and spayed and neutered. Any donations go toward the continued efforts of their rescue work.

11th Hour Animal Rescue is always looking for wonderful foster homes willing to take in a dog for a temporary period of time. This can be a great way for your family to test out the idea of having a permanent pet, and also shows children that they can make a difference in the homeless pet crisis.
