Roundabout Work to Close I-90 Exit to West Lake Sam/Lakemont

The closure is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. overnight Thursday, though it is weather-dependent, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The West Lake Sammamish Parkway/Lakemont Bouleveard exit from westbound Interstate 90 may close overnight Thursday, Sept. 26 as crews install the final layer of asphalt and temporary striping.

Update: 1:24: this story has been changed after the Wednesday closure was canceled.

The closure is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m., though it is weather-dependent, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.

The Washington State Department of Transportation says that traffic will be detoured to the southbound 148th/150th Street Southeast exit nights.

According to the state, the new roundabout is designed to reduce the risk of serious collisions by controlling traffic flow near the on- and off-ramps. It includes curbs and traffic islands to guide drivers through the roundabout. For details about project, go to www.wsdot.wa.gov/projects/i90/wlksammamishintersectionmod/
