Small Earthquake Reported Near Redmond—Did You Feel It?

A 2.3-magnitude quake took place just north of Carnation at 7:34 a.m. Friday. Did you feel any tremors? Tell us in the comments section.

King County experienced two small earthquakes early Friday morning, including one that was centered about 10 miles east of Redmond and measured 2.3 on the Richter scale.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network indicates the quake took place at 7:34 a.m. and was centered just west of Lake Marcel between Carnation and Duvall. It was 16.5 miles deep.

Seismologists say another quake took place at 6:56 a.m. Friday in Lake City. That one was 2.6 in magnitude and 19.3 miles deep.
