VIEWFINDER: Local Youth Mark Anniversary With 2,977 Flags
The memorial will be on display until Monday at Marymoor Park in Redmond.
Young people gathered at on Saturday to place 2,977 flags in the ground as a memorial to the nearly 3,000 lives that were lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
The commemoration was part of the 9/11: Never Forget Project, an effort that is organized by a conservative political action group called Young America's Foundation.
The flags will remain on display at the park until Monday.
