WATCH: Senior Center Performs 'Flash Mob' at Redmond Lights

A group of dancers spontaneously broke into a performance set to Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" at the Redmond Town Center on Saturday.

A spontaneous "flash mob" organized by the Redmond Senior Center amped up the holiday spirit at this year's Redmond Lights festival.

A post on the City of Redmond's Facebook page indicates the dance broke out shortly after the main music act wrapped up its performance at around 6:50 p.m. Saturday. The dancers performed a choreographed routine set to Mariah Carey's pop favorite "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

The flash mob was just one of many events and activities that celebrated the city's centennial and welcomed the new holiday season on Saturday. Click here to see a photo gallery from Redmond Lights and a video of the tree lighting at city hall.

You can add your own images of the festival to the gallery by clicking on the "upload photos and videos button."

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
