What's Next: Acapulco Fresh Mexican Grill

The downtown Redmond eatery has been closed for quite some time. What would you like to see take its place?

Editor's note: "What's Next" is an occasional series that highlights vacant properties in Redmond and asks readers what type of business they would like to see move in.

---

Construction is booming in downtown Redmond as crews work to build several apartment and condo residences in the city's central area.

But across the street from the future site of a six-story residential building sits an empty restaurant. Acapulco Fresh Mexican Grill has been vacant for quite some time, and commercial leasing company Wallace Properties is actively looking for a new tenant.

What would you like to see take its place? Another burrito joint? A different kind of restaurant? Something else?

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
