Join Redmond Poet Laureate Jeannine Hall Gailey as she shares geek-themed poetry inspired by anime, robots, science and more. Gailey's work deals with women’s power and transformation. Hear Gailey read from her first two books, "Becoming the Villainess" and "She Returns to the Floating World," and enjoy a collaborative art exhibit with local artist Michaela Eaves, whose pictures of mermaids, zombies, and other hybrid creatures will echo themes in Gailey’s poetry. Snacks and drinks are provided.

RASP is a wonderful group of writers from all walks of Redmond life. They hold an open mic on theRead More last Friday of every month at the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. Not only do they have featured readers like Kathleen, but the open mic portion encourages anyone from the community to read their work. It's regularly quite good. All those with a hunger to get their work out in the world should attend.
