These hard-cover Houghton Mifflin dictionaries are more than just books of words.  They are focused on helping 3rd graders with language development, using pictures, a phonics section, and special “Language Detective” and “Vocabulary Builder” sections to promote learning.

By giving each 3rd grader a dictionary to own and keep at home, these children - - particularly English Language Learners (ESL) and students in low-income households - - will be in a better position to develop word skills and overall literacy.
