Washington's First Women in Government Exhibit Reception

Join the Redmond Historical Society and the City of Redmond for an opening reception and viewing of the exhibit Moving Forward, Looking Back: Washington’s First Women in Government. The reception will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, in the City Hall lobby, 15670 NE 85th Street.

The Washington State Heritage Center produced Moving Forward, Looking Back: Washington’s First Women in Government - an exhibit highlighting the first women elected to major public offices following Washington’s 1910 enactment of women’s right to vote.  This 16-panel exhibit is located in the City Hall lobby through May 31, 2012 to honor the 2010 Centennial of women’s suffrage in Washington State and to celebrate history during Redmond’s 1912-2012 Centennial.
