Freaks & Geeks Poetry Event: Los Angeles Review to Visit Redmond

The editor and writers of the Los Angeles Review will join Redmond Poet Laureate Jeannine Hall Gailey to celebrate poetry on Friday, March 15 at Soul Food Books.

The editor and writers of the Los Angeles Review will join Redmond Poet Laureate Jeannine Hall Gailey to celebrate poetry on the Eastside at 8 p.m. Friday, March 15 at Soul Food Books, 15748 Redmond Way. 

LA Review editor Kelly Davio will be on hand to read selected works and introduce local writers who have contributed to the Review. Writers will include Janet Buttenweiser, Katherine Eulensen, Jeremiah O’ Hagan and Michael Schmeltzer will read their work from recent issues. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

This event is sponsored by the City of Redmond, Redmond Arts Commission, King County Library System, Seattle Art Museum and ARTSWA and is free to the public.

Jeannine Hall Gailey is the author of two books of poetry, She Returns to the Floating World and Becoming the Villainess. She was named Redmond Poet Laureate in 2012 and recently published her third book, Unexplained Fevers in 2013.
