Pedestrian Hit by Seafood Truck in Redmond

The pedestrian has been transported to Harborview Medical Center, Police said.

Police are investigating a truck vs. pedestrian accident near the Redmond Regional Library, at the intersection of 160th and 85th.

The pedestrian has been transported to Harborview hospital after being struck by an Ocean Beauty Seafoods delivery truck that was turning left from 85th onto 160th around 10 a.m. this morning.

The man, in his 60s, was breathing but unconscious when he was taken to Harborview, Redmond Police spokesman Jim Bove said.

A Patch reader who was at the scene said the driver appeared very distraught. Police do not at this time believe alcohol was a factor on the crash.

Traffic was tied up, but 85th is now open.

Redmond Fire Battalion Chief Ralph Ashmore said the man was transported from the scene within 10 minutes of the accident.
