National Lung Cancer Vigil

NOVEMBER IS LUNG CANCER AWARENESS MONTH - Join hundreds across the country at Gilda's Club, 1400 Broadway, Seattle, WA.   The National Shine A Light on Lung Cancer Vigil is an evening of hope, inspiration, support and remembrance for all of those touched by lung cancer.    

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:  anyone touched by, living with or at risk for the disease (especially former smokers, Veterans, women, minorities, firemen and others exposed to known carcinogens), as well as legislators, media and medical health professionals from local hospitals/cancer centers. The geographic focus is the Pacific Northwest Region.  Our program includes a survivor story from Washington State Senator, Andy Hill and Washington State Lung Cancer Alliance Co-chair Cecilia Izzo.  In addition Dr. Eric Vallieres will speak about recent developments in lung cancer treatment and diagnostics.  Laurie Fenton, CEO, Lung Cancer Alliance in Washington D.C. will discuss pending legislation to elevate lung cancer on the national public health agenda.  The event will be held at GILDA'S CLUB, 1400 Broadway, Seattle, WA (cross street is Union).  Parking at Diamond lot next to Gilda's.
