1st District Congressional Debate Set for July 25 on Microsoft Campus

The event is organized by Seattle CityClub and will take place over the lunch hour.

Six of the seven candidates for Congress in Washington's 1st District will participate in a debate on July 25 at .

Republican John Koster and Democrats , , Steve Hobbs,  and  are scheduled to appear. Independent Larry Ishmael is the seventh candidate in the race.

The debate will be moderated by Joni Balter of The Seattle Times.

The event follows a June 27 debate that brought the five Democratic candidates to the Old Redmond Schoolhouse Community Center. to see a live blog stream from the event, or to watch a video of the candidates' opening statements.

The July 25 debate begins at noon in the Rainier Room, located within the Microsoft Conference Center (Building 33), 16070 NE 36th Way. Members of the public are welcome to attend; admission is free but advanced registration is required.
