Fork Dork: Thanksgiving Dining Options for the Procrastinators in All of Us

If you are like me, you are probably procrastinating on Thanksgiving dinner plans. If you are like me, you probably prefer not to host Thanksgiving dinner, to avoid cleaning all those dishes, what with all the courses in the traditional dinner.

Fear not! Here’s a guide to dining out and to-go options this Thanksgiving (which is next week).

Hotel restaurants are generally a safe bet as they remain open year round. Many of the area's hotel restaurants will be serving special Thanksgiving menus.

Boka Kitchen & Bar at Hotel 1000 in downtown Seattle will serve its regular dinner menu from noon to 8 p.m. as well as a separate Thanksgiving menu. Specials include starters such as pumpkin soup for $9 and maple-glazed pork belly for $11. Entrees include American Heritage Turkey breast with the trimmings for $33 and tofu roulade for $21.

At the venerable Hunt Club at The Sorrento Hotel on Seattle's First Hill, open since 1901, Chef Ivan Szilak will offer a three-course menu plus a glass of wine for $69. Options include butternut squash bisque or mixed greens for starters, roast turkey breast or New York steak for the entrée, and chocolate cake or the Sorrento lemon custard for dessert. At Earth & Ocean at the Hotel W in downtown Seattle the regular menu will be available, as well as a four-course Thanksgiving menu for $60. Chef Ryan Loo will prepare his take on Thanksgiving feast flavors, including roasted sweet potato and chestnut soup with foie gras and pear ravioli, foraged mushroom salad, and smoked turkey roulade with sage and turkey sausage.

The  in Kirkland will offer special Thanksgiving dinners at both of its restaurants, and . A three-course Thanksgiving menu for $55 ($23 for children under 12) will be served at bin on the Lake from noon to 6 p.m. At The Beach Café the regular menu as well as a special Thanksgiving dinner menu will be available until 10:30 p.m. for $32 per person ($15 for children under 12).

 at  in Woodinville will serve a special Thanksgiving menu from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The menu includes butternut squash soup for $10, figs and prosciutto di Parma for $12 for starters. Entrees include hazelnut-dusted sea scallops for $28, Muscovy duck breast for $29, 14-ounce bone-in ribeye for $35, and roasted free range turkey breast for $30. For a complete menu click here.

Next door at , chefs Chris Weber and Tony Demes will serve their current themed menu, American Harvest, plus an additional course featuring the American Heritage Unimproved Standard Bronze Turkey raised at The Herbfarm. Proprietor Ron Zimmerman said guests will go home with pre-made Herbfarm "leftovers." Cost for the 10-course dinner, including paired wines, is $225. Guests at The Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls can choose between a coursed dinner in The Dining Room or a buffet option in the Salish Ballroom. The coursed dinner in The Dining Room, $70 for four courses ($25 for children 6 to 12), will be served from 1 to 8 p.m. The buffet dinner in the Salish Ballroom, for $65 per person ($25 for children 6 to 12) will be served from noon to 6 p.m.

In addition to hotel restaurants, several neighborhood eateries around the region will be serving Thanksgiving feasts.

In Bellevue,  will serve a three-course Thanksgiving supper from 1 to 7 p.m. for $19.99.  in downtown Bellevue will serve a four-course Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 9 p.m. for $50 ($12 for children 6 to 10 and free for children under 5).

 in downtown Bellevue will serve a family-style, three-course dinner for $39.95 per person ($12.95 for children under 12). Reservations can be made as late as 8 p.m. Entrees include sage roasted turkey with giblet gravy, herb-roasted beef tenderloin with wild mushroom demi-glace and Alaskan King Salmon filet with cider butter sauce.

In Bothell, Preservation Kitchen will serve three-course Thanksgiving dinners from 12:30 to 5 p.m. For a complete menu click here.

 in Kirkland will serve Thanksgiving dinner from noon to 5 p.m. For $24.95 ($8.95 for children under 10), guests can choose three-course dinner options, including traditional turkey, pork loin or salmon.

If you prefer to enjoy Thanksgiving in the comfort of your home but prefer not to cook, there are a few takeout options. PCC Natural Markets and Metropolitan Market are offering complete traditional Thanksgiving feasts to go.

PCC Natural Markets in Issaquah,  and  are offering prepared turkey meals for eight to 16 guests. Meals include Diestel free-range turkey, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls, side dishes and pie. Dinners serving eight to 10 guests cost $99.99. Dinners for 12 to 16 guests are $149.99. Diana Crane of PCC recommends reserving dinners by Nov. 21. For more details click here.

 in Kirkland is offering complete turkey dinners with all the trimmings available for pre-order until Nov. 21. The Metropolitan Market dinner includes free-range all natural, oven roasted turkey with seasonal spices and turkey gravy, cranberry sauce with orange zest, plus three side dishes. The turkey dinner for six to eight guests is $129.99. Meals can be ordered in store, online now through Nov. 21, or by calling 425-454-0085.

in Redmond will also offer a takeout Thanksgiving feast. The traditional menu includes oven-roasted turkey or ham, garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole and pie and costs $35 per person. A "chef's contemporary" meal featuring sweet potatoes and a fall root vegetable medley is also available for $39 per person. Meals must be ordered by the end of the day today by calling 425-391-4040.
