Microsoft Alumni Foundation Now Accepting Nominations for 2012 Fellows Program

Up to three Microsoft "alumni" who now work for or volunteer at a nonprofit will receive a $25,000 award to support their organization.

The Microsoft Alumni Foundation is currently accepting nominations for the 2012 Integral Fellows awards program.

The initiative provides $25,000 awards for up to three former Microsoft employees to use in their nonprofit work. Individuals who work with nonprofits on a local, regional, national or international scale are welcome as nominees, and each award will be given in the form of a one-year, unrestricted grant.

Integral fellows are selected by a panel of judges using the following criteria:

  • Entrepreneurship—We believe in taking the best of what we learned at Microsoft and using it to address our planet’s challenges. We’re passionate about changing the world. We work hard, take risks, and are inspired by the amazing difference our alumni are making every day.
  • Innovation—We believe that through our brightest ideas and most creative thinking we can look at the problems we face in a new way, in a new light, and find inspired solutions.

  • Collaboration—We know that by working together we can accomplish so much more than we could on our own.
  • Integrity—We value honesty, fair play, professionalism, and transparency.

Nominations will be accepted through April 15; you do not need to be part of the Microsoft community to nominate someone. Go to the Microsoft Alumni Foundation website for more information and to complete the nomination form.
