New Triplehorn Brewery Creates Original Beer in Woodinville

New brewery to celebrate grand opening with event in late August.

Ever wondered how beer gets made? Ever wanted to see what the inside of a brewery looks like? Woodinville's newest brewery, Triplehorn, can help you solve those two sudsy mysteries. And if all you want is a cold, fresh brew, they can help with that, too.

Triplehorn Brewing Company will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, Aug. 25, and when it does brothers Rich and Ray Nesheim will celebrate joining the local brewery fraternity.

Rich and Ray have both long had a connection to the area, and Ray in particular has long had a connection to beer, having worked in the industry for 15 years. When the pair decided that they wanted to get into the brewing business a couple of years ago, Woodinville felt like the right environment to do it in.

"It was just kind of a natural fit," Rich said.

The brothers looked at Woodinville's thriving wine and beer industry and felt it was the best place to nurture their new venture.

"We wanted to be a part of that," Rich said.

Triplehorn Brewing Company plans to offer a variety of their own artisan beers, from a dry hopped IPA and Nitro Milk Stout, to Pale Ale and Apricot Wit. They also plan on hosting other local brewers on their multiple taps.

Rich and Ray want people to do more than just drink their beer, though. They want them to see how it's made in what they're calling an "Interactive Brewery."

"You'll be able to see the entire process," Rich said, adding that people can come in and be a part of the system.

With a taproom that will seat about 15 and outdoor patio space for several more, Triplehorn should be an interesting place for a brew. The brothers plan on being open seven days a week, noon to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturday, and noon to 7 p.m. on Sundays.

The Triplehorn Brewing Company is located at 19510 144th Ave. N.E. in Woodinville. The Grand Opening event starts on Saturday, Aug. 25, at noon, with food available at 2 p.m.
