Where's the Beef? No Highscore Burgers Yet in Redmond, Permits Blamed for Delay

A post on the Highscore Burgers Facebook page today says we'll have to wait a little longer for their ice cream, pinball and classic burgers.

Although they were originally shooting for a March 1 grand opening, delays had the owners of Highscore Burgers pushing the opening to March 15. But a post on their Facebook page Friday morning says we'll have to wait a little longer for their ice cream, pinball and classic burgers.

The posted message:

We are still waiting for a permit, so we will not be opening today.

Seattle ice cream impresario Justin Cline told Patch Friday that they are still waiting for the fire suppression system to be updated on their ventilation hood and said it would be about a week before they can open the doors.

Cline said in January he was taking the Full Tilt franchise to a meatier level.

He and entrepreneur Gorman Eng are opening in the space that formerly housed the Indian restaurant Preet's at 8440 160th Ave NE.

“We’re just going to make big, honest burgers," Cline said in January. "And we’re going to keep prices down, so an ordinary family can afford to eat there.”

Cline told Patch they chose the space because the layout will work well for their concept, and because of the high population density and little competition in the area.
