Oprah: Microsoft Surface 'Feels Like a Mercedes-Benz'

The new tablet computer is one of the former talks how host's "favorite things" for 2012.

A group of lucky Oprah fans could soon be hearing cries of "You get a Surface!"

The new Microsoft tablet has been recognized on the celebrity's 2012 Favorite Things list, which appears in the December issue of O magazine. In the online version, Oprah touts the Surface's built-in keyboard and lightweight design, declaring "The Surface, Microsoft's first tablet, feels like a Mercedes-Benz to me, people!"

Oprah's Favorite Things list was an annual holiday tradition on her talk show, with a full episode set aside for the host to reveal her favorite products of the year and then give them away to ecstatic audience members. Her repetitive cries of "You get a (insert product here)!" and the sometimes over-the-top excitement of the audience have led to countless parodies, including a rather hilarious Saturday Night Live sketch

But whether Oprah will actually be giving away Surface tablets this holiday season remains to be seen. Although her talk show has ended, PC Magazine reports the Favorite Things special will be returning as a two-hour TV special on the OWN network later this month.

Have you tried out the Surface? Does it make your own "favorite things" list? Tell us in the comments.

Our front yard gets a fair amount of sun, it faces south. Back yard is more shady/wet. We've beenRead More trying to grow grass back there and just have never had good success. I would be open to whatever someone suggests for planting (veggies, sunflowers whatever). People can contact me at ariana at chris burgess dot com.
