Orange Blossom Society Announces Plans to Close

The family center has operated out of a craftsman house in downtown Redmond for three years.

Redmond's family center will close at the end of the month, owner Sharman Ghio said in an announcement posted Tuesday on the business' Facebook page.

It is with mixed emotion that I announce that Orange Blossom Society will close in its current capacity at the end of August. I have had the pleasure of building relationships with wonderful families, artists, business owners and others who have embraced OBS and I am truly thankful for the support and encouragement I received to live out this dream and provide the community with a special place.

I look forward to pursuing my next venture. Thank you to everyone who supported OBS.

The center had operated out of a craftsman house in downtown Redmond for the past three years and offered a variety of classes and workshops for children. ( to see an earlier feature story about Orange Blossom Society on Redmond Patch.)

We have attempted to contact Ghio for more information and will update this post with any additional details that become available.
