Every several years St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday, as it is does in 2012, and there is little doubt that toasts will be flippin’ and pints tippin’ around Redmond on March 17.
The town's two most obvious suspects— and —will be good bets to celebrate over food and drink. J.J. Mahoney's will be opening at 9 a.m. and serving traditional Irish favorites, while Celtic Bayou will be offering live music from the Emerald Isle beginning at 7 p.m.
Plenty of other bars and restaurants will surely be getting in on the action as well, with pouring green beer, the up on Redmond Ridge offering a special Irish menu, and the opening early for Irish breakfast and serving up corned beef starting at 4 p.m.
So Patch wants to know: What is the best spot in Redmond to celebrate that one day each year when there’s a wee bit ’of the Irish in us all?
Please vote for your favorite in our third Readers' Choice the poll below—which does not include all the spots to celebrate St. Pat’s in town—and please click on the links above or our Patch Places link here to find your favorite. Then leave a comment or a review. If you don't see your top spot, let us know in the comments box below or email the editor, Caitlin.Moran@patch.com. We can add it to our poll.
Have a favorite in the next town over? Vote for the best spot to celebrate in or Bellevue on our sister Patch sites.
Please remember to vote by 9 a.m. Friday. We'll announce the winner later in the day. In the event of a tie, we will break it based on the comments, so please explain your choice.
To get you in the spirit, we leave you with one of our favorite Irish toasts:
May you have all the happiness
and luck that life can hold—
And at the end of all your rainbows
may you find a pot of gold.
Because our poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results, comments and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.
