Redmond Chamber Selects Interim Executive

Appointment comes as the chamber prepares to collaborate with the Redmond Economic Development Alliance and Realize Redmond.

Danielle Lynch, director of finance for the Greater Redmond Chamber of Commerce, has been named interim executive director of the organization, board of directors chairman Tom Martin announced Monday.

Lynch has worked at the chamber for three years and is currently training for a certificate in chamber management, Martin said in a news release.

"Danielle is respected by members and staff alike as a conscientious member of the team," Martin said. "I am fully confident of her ability to serve in this interim role."

Lynch will be taking over the role of former chamber CEO Chris Hoffmann, who last month.

“I’m very excited for the opportunity and definitely looking to try some new things,” Lynch said Monday.

In particular, Lynch said she's looking forward to a proposed fundraising campaign that would involve the chamber, the Redmond Economic Development Alliance and Realize Redmond, a nonprofit group formerly known as the Redmond Foundation.

On May 3, the Redmond City Council approved a distribution of $50,000 to the Redmond Economic Development Alliance to fund a feasibility study on a joint fundraising campaign that would involve all three entities.

Mayor John Marchione said the feasibility study will also identify ways the three groups can work together to promote economic development in the city.

"I was very grateful that all three groups, after discussion, have come together," he said at the most recent city council meeting.

Martin said the collaboration between the three groups will influence the chamber's leadership structure moving forward.

"We intend to coordinate our fund raising activities and evaluate what structures make sense between the organizations, including possible sharing of resources," he said in the news release. "This coordination will inform how we continue our filling of the permanent executive director position."
