The office buildings at Redmond Town Center are currently up for sale, according to a report by The Seattle Times. The sale of office buildings reportedly does not include the shopping mall.
The buildings include about 600,000 square feet of office space with 3,000 employees at AT&T, Microsoft and the Lake Washington School District.
No price has been set for the buildings and while Redmond Town Center officials have yet to comment, officials with the city of Redmond said they don't expect things to change if the buildings are sold.
"From a city economic development, we don’t expect things to change much except for the owners – that’s the best of my understanding," said Erika Vandenbrande, economic development manager for the city.
The buildings are owned by Macerich, a California firm that focuses on retail properties.
