Update, Oct. 15: Redmond and Woodinville escaped with a narrow win over Bellevue in the first round of Seattle Weekly's 2012 "Snackdown" competition.
This week the newspaper is pitting the combined forces of Redmond and Woodinville against Kirkland, Bothell and Kenmore in the bracket-style competition of Seattle-area dining scenes.

Original post, Oct. 8: Seattle Weekly is taking its coverage outside the city for the second-annual "Snackdown," a bracket-style competition of Seattle-area dining scenes.
The series of online polls pits various neighborhoods and towns against one another and asks readers to vote for the one with the best dining scene. The competition was expanded this year to include several suburban cities in King, Snohomish and Kitsap counties.

The current poll puts Bellevue up against the combined forces of Redmond and Woodinville. Seattle Weekly critic Hanna Raskin makes her case for Redmond by pointing out the strong reputation of Pomegranate Bistro and the variety of Asian cuisine available at restaurants like Spicy Talk Bistro and Kanishka (click on links to see Patch reviews of each eatery).
Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday. As of Monday afternoon, Bellevue was leading the poll 75 to 25 percent. Click here to cast your vote.
