Update: Premium Wine & Spirits Set to Open Friday

Jeffrey Roh took over operations of the downtown Redmond liquor store following this month's privatization switch.

Downtown Redmond's liquor store will reopen Friday afternoon as Premium Wine & Spirits, according to a post on the new store's Facebook page.

An announcement posted Thursday evening invited customers to the new shop: "We will be opening our Redmond store tomorrow afternoon!!!! Come check out the store and the selections. Who will be our first paying customer???" 

The store, located at 16389 Redmond Way, in anticipation of the state's June 1 switch to private liquor sales. Jeffrey Roh  with a bid of $281,660 in a state auction this past April.

In an email sent to Redmond Patch shortly after the auction, Roh said he is a seven-year resident of the Redmond/Sammamish area and will offer a wide selection of top-level spirits at the shop.

"Along with my brother, Michael, and my wife, Grace, we intend to provide the residents of Redmond and the Eastside with the highest level of customer service and brand selection that will not likely be available at the larger, big box stores and outlets," Roh said. "Incidentally, all of us are local residents and believe wholeheartedly in supporting our local community and businesses. We would also like to place a special focus on supporting local, made-in-Washington brands, and feel committed to supporting the efforts of local wineries and distilleries in our region."
