Websites such as Yelp! have empowered the everyday eater to become their local neighborhood's food critic, praising and damning behind the anonymity of a computer screen.
However, as a Patch reader pointed out, there are a number of ratings layers on Yelp, and the more reviews a restaurant has, the more depth you find, as opposed to strictly top star ratings, as well of a sense of where most people go to get a bite.
