'Zaw Brings Artisan Bake-at-Home Pizza to Redmond

The Seattle-based chain opened its newest location near Trader Joe's on Friday.

Local pizza lovers now have yet another place to get their fix in downtown Redmond.

'Zaw opened the doors to its location near Trader Joe's this afternoon, joining fellow Seattle-based chains Zeeks and MOD Pizza in the quest for a slice of Redmond's pizza-customer pie.

'Zaw co-founder Greg Scott said 'Zaw's customers have been requesting an Eastside location for quite some time. The new store is 'Zaw's seventh location, and just its second outside of Seattle city limits. (The other is on Mercer Island.)

“It’s a great location for us,” Scott said of the new Redmond shop.

'Zaw offers bake-at-home pizza and focuses ingredients that follow its sourcing guidelines of Seasonal, Organic, Unique and Local—or SOUL. Scott said the company makes an effort to partner with local farmers markets as evidenced by a list of current suppliers on its website

Along with pizza, 'Zaw also sells salads, beer and wine, bake-at-home cookies and homemade ice cream. Scott said the "classic combo," which includes a large pizza, salad and bottle of wine for $30, is popular with customers.

'Zaw is located 8145 161st Ave. NE in Redmond. Hours are 2 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 2 to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Call 206-952-4420 or visit zaw.com for more information or to place an order.

Delivery will be available beginning sometime in early 2013. The delivery cost is $2 on orders of $15 or more.
