7 Easy Fall 2011 Hair Styling Ideas

If you are like me, fall is all about being cozy in romantic relaxation! Do you like a cozy sweateshirt, hot tea, and a movie during a fall rain? If so, you might like some of these laid back style ideas. 

These easy to accomplish, yet runway-approved hair trends will ensure that every day is a fabulous hair day. The weather may start to cool down, but your hair is about to get smoking hot.

1. Better Braids

This isn’t your elementary school hairdo we’re talking about. Fall’s romantic twist on an old classic is making a serious splash. This braid is loosely woven, slightly messy and effortlessly gathered at the side. Hollywood starlets like Amanda Seyfried have already started their season early by donning this ultra feminine look!

2.  Dreamy Waves

The hair romance novels are made of. Lush, sexy waves and ringlets are one of the best complement’s to fall’s darker colors and heavier layers, adding a playful, whimsical spin to fall fashion. To achieve loose waves, wrap hair in one-inch sections around a large barreled curling iron. Hold in place for ten seconds, let cool and then separate with fingers. Finish with a shine serum. Want more dramatic curls? Try hot rollers for a tighter, bouncier ringlet that lasts all day long.

3.  Half Up, Half Down

Fall is all about volume, and that is no exception when it comes to one of our favorite (and timeless) looks. Think Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s mashed with some of the sexiest mod actresses the 60’s had to offer. Backcomb the top for mega volume (or as much as you’re comfortable with) and add face framing waves for the ultimate come-hither look.

Another classic that’s taking a modern spin is our favorite ponytail. The sleek pony is worn with super straight locks, smoothed down crown and secured at the base of the neck. No volume? No problem. This is the look you wear with your power suit and heels. The client will be impressed.

Calling all Paris dreamers. The messy chignon, a.k.a. the day-dreamer’s bun, is taking a break from it’s usual summer style and offering a little autumn drama when paired with a deep side part and long, eye grazing bangs.

6. The Deep Side

Whether partnered with a chignon or on it’s own, the deep side part is replacing part-less and center parts everywhere. This look offers an instant sense of sophistication and versatility. It can be worn with waves, stick straight locks or even slicked back. Same part, never the same look.

7. Bedazzled

This season is about the little, luxurious extras. Elegant details like flapper-inspired headbands and jeweled encrusted barrettes, pair beautifully with any of fall’s lady-like styles.
