At work yesterday, one of my coworkers noticed this guy sitting on one of our boxes. At first we thought it was a butterfly, but since the wings were down and not up, we believe it was a moth now.
The moth was easily four inches across, the largest I had ever seen in Washington. I have to say I rarely see moths here except outside of the city.
So the moth stayed with us and just sat and watched us work for about 45 minutes and then eventually flew off.
