East Link's final design process will move the project's design from a current level of approximately 30 percent to 100 percent completion before the planned launch of construction in 2015. East Link will dramatically improve public transit access to and from locations in East King County, with light rail providing fast and reliable service. A trip from Bellevue Transit Center to downtown Seattle will take 20 minutes regardless of roadway congestion. A trip to Overlake Transit Center will take 10 minutes and a trip to the airport 55 minutes.
