  • Where/When: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. daily at in Sammamish.
  • Why Go: This Saturday is shaping up to be a hot one. So what better way to cool off then by taking a dip at Pine Lake Park. The swimming area now has lifeguards on duty from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. everyday. Or, if you're closer to Redmond, you can try but you won't have lifegaurds on duty.
  • Pricing: Free.

  • Where/When: 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Friday, July 1 at in Woodinville.
  • Why Go: Enjoy a glass of our Flygirl White, Ruby Rosé, or Bombshell Red while listening to Italian Swing Music performed by the Primo Basso Band.  This event is being held in honor of the Flygirls of WWII.  The 1st week of July in 1943 was when the first woman enlisted in the "WASPS"  Women Airforce Service Pilots.
  • Cost: Admission is free, wine available for purchase by the glass.

  • Where/When: 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. Every Friday night at . 
  • Why Go: Do you and your friends or family love game night? Maybe you've grown tired of that same old Monopoly game and need something new. Or, maybe you just need a bigger space to play. Uncle's Games in Redmond has you covered either way. Every Friday night, the store stays open extra late, so groups of friends and family can partake in "Friday Night Gaming" at the store. Bring your own games, or pick from one of the many demonstration games the store carries.
  • Pricing: Free. Enjoy 15 percent off any purchase made during Friday Night Gaming.

  • Where/When: 4 p.m. - 5 :30 p.m. Friday, July 1 at Deseret Book in Bellevue.
  • Why Go: Lisa Mangum will be signing the final book from her award-winning Hourglass Door series, The Forgotten Locket this Friday at Deseret Book. Visit Lisa Mangum website to learn more about her Forgotten Locket series.
  • Cost: Free.

UFC 132 Cruz vs Faber

  • Where/When: 6 p.m. Saturday, July 2 at various locations, use the UFC Bar Finder to view a list of bars or restaurants showing the fights.
  • Why Go: Can't wait until the 4th to see some fireworks? UFC 132 should have plenty in store for you this Saturday. In the main event, Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz will defend his title against former WEC Featherweight champ Urijah Faber. Also on the fight card, local favorite Jeff Hougland is set to make his UFC debut. Check out Patch's coverage of Hougland here.
  • Cost: Usually no cover.

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at in Kirkland.
  • Why Go: If laughs are what you’re after this holiday weekend, you'll have to travel to Kirkland get them. James Heneghen will be performing Thursday through Saturday at Laughs in Kirkland. His routine will have you laughing all night long. But don't take my word for it. Check out this clip of Heneghen in action.
  • Cost: Tickets are $10.

  • Where/When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Francis J. Gaudette Theatre in Issaquah.
  • Why Go: This is the last weekend you'll be able to catch the Village Theatre's production of Jesus Christ Superstar before the show picks up and moves to Everett. This is an updated retelling of Jesus Christ Superstar. You won't see robes or sandals in this production. Can't quiet remember what this musical is all about? Here's a little refresher, enjoy!
  • Cost: Tickets range between $20 and $60.
