  • Why Go: Looking to party all night long this Halloween weekend? Join Redmond's Bar and Grill, the newest hot spot in town, this Saturday for its first-annual Halloween Bash. The party starts at 9 p.m. with a live DJ, dancing, witches brew, drink specials and a costume contest! 
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

  • Where/When: 4 p.m. on Saturday at .
  • Why Go: Last year more than 22,000 dancers participated in this simultaneous global phenomenon. At Redmond Town Center, more than 300 people performed Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” in the center court of Redmond Town Center. Join in on the fun this year and help support the SecondStory Conservatory while you do it.
  • Pricing: Registration ranges between $5 and $20. Net proceeds from the event support the SecondStory Conservatory.

  • Where/When: Noon on Saturday at , 7730 Leary Way NE.
  • Why Go: Looking to get Fido involved in the Halloween celebration this year? Put on your pet's best costume and head on over to Redmond Saturday Market for a four-legged Halloween parade. Now in its sixth year, the event will include three prizes, and all pets are welcome to participate—with or without costumes. This is the market's last weekend of the 2011 season.
  • Pricing: Free

Halloween at the Redmond VFW

  • Where/When: 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at , 4330 148th Ave. NE
  • Why Go: Veterans and their families are invited to the local VFW post this Saturday for an evening of Halloween fun. A dinner of pizza and salad will be served, and prizes will be given for the top three costumes.
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

  • Where/When: Family Scare 7 to 7:45 p.m. Full Scare 8 to 10 p.m. Daily at in Sammamish.
  • Why Go: Wind your way through the haunted forest that is Nightmare at Beaver Lake, complete with indoor and outdoor scary scenes featuring live actors.
  • Pricing: Family Scare is $8 per person, full scare $12 per person. Bring a donation of a non-perishable food item and save $1 off your ticket.

  • Where/When: 7 to 11 p.m. Friday at the , 16510 NE 79th St.
  • Why Go: Too old to trick or treat? No problem—the Old Fire House Teen Center has a Halloween celebration that's way more fun than walking around outside in the cold. A full lineup of bands, including this year's , will perform. The event will also feature a costume contest, movie screenings and more.
  • Pricing: Admission is $7 or $5 with a costume before 9 p.m. Attendees who show up with a carved pumpkin get in for free.

  • Where/When: 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at .
  • Why Go: Join Airfield Estates Woodinville Tasting Room and neighboring wineries for a HalloWINE Party like you’ve never seen. Costume contests, prizes, music, tricks, treats, photo ops, and more.  
  • Pricing: Admission is free.

  • Where/When: 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday at .
  • Why Go: The City of Redmond and the Cascade Land Conservancy have partnered together to sponsor a work party at Hartman Park this Saturday. All those who care about Redmond’s urban forests can help by volunteering to remove invasive plants and plant native trees and shrubs to re-establish a healthy forest and mitigate carbon in the atmosphere.
  • Pricing: Free. No experience is necessary and gloves, tools and other materials are available. It is important to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. All ages are welcome, although all volunteers younger than 18 must either be accompanied by an adult or bring a signed waiver (available at www.greenredmond.org).

  • Where/When: 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at .
  • Why Go: It's closing weekend for SecondStory Repertory's production of, The 39 Steps. This tale of murder, mystery and intrigue will have its audience on the edge of their seat at every turn of this fast-paced comedy. Enjoy the show!
  • Pricing: Tickets are $25.
