'Get Your Funk On!' at the Duvall Sandblast Festival July 23-24

It's time again for the annual event held at McCormick Park.

You don’t need to head to the beach to experience the fun of sand sculpture. Duvall’s annual Sandblast Festival is Saturday and Sunday on the shores of the Snoqualmie River in . This year’s theme is “Get your Funk On!,” because Duvall is such a funky town, according the Duvall Foundation for the Arts, sponsor of the festival.

The event will celebrate the arts of local and regional artists and art organizations. In addition to the sand sculptures, the festival features live music, dance performances, storytelling.

On Saturday there will also be an evening performance of Windsor’s Merry Wives by Cascade Community Theatre at 7 p.m. The festival is from noon to 6 p.m. both days, admission is free.
