Happy New Year! Jan. 1 fell on a Sunday this year, and the federal holiday is being observed Monday. Here is a list of what’s open and what's closed:
- Garbage Pickup (both Waste Management and Allied Waste): Normal schedule this week.
- United States Postal Service: closed Monday. No mail delivery that day.
- Liquor store: The downtown Redmond store will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, but the Redmond Ridge location will be closed.
- : All King County libraries will be closed Sunday, Jan. 1. They will be open normal hours on Monday.
- : Closed Monday.
- Schools: Both Lake Washington and Northshore school districts are on winter break. LWSD classes resume Tuesday, while Northshore students will be back in class on Wednesday.
