Redmond Cleaning Up, Some Park Access Closed

Streets are being cleared this weekend, but debris removal at some parks will wait until Monday.

The city of Redmond has the following storm updates:


•“Plows will be working through the weekend and beyond, as needed. We understand that many residential streets need to be cleared, as the recent snowstorm has forced us to concentrate efforts thus far on arterial routes.”

The city says it is working to clear areas “as quickly as resources allow. … Please be advised that our focus must be on clearing rights of way, and we may be unable to plow snow from driveway aprons and entrances to private streets.”

•If you were planning to shake off that cabin fever by getting into parks when the wind dies down, you may have to wait. The city says that drive access to and parking at , and are closed “until we can provide safe passage. We will begin clearing trees and debris on Monday. All synthetic fields are also closed until the snow melts or can be manually cleared.”

•T-Mobile confirmed to the city Friday that it is seeing service outages, especially in the Redmond area. “If you cannot reach a City of Redmond office phone number using your T-Mobile service, please try your call again. If you continue to experience problems, please report the issue to T-Mobile.”
