Monday: Patch editor Margaret Santjer wrote about two Seattle men who are from several Eastside businesses, including Concur Technologies in Redmond. Investigators believe the men gained access to the businesses by breaking into exterior boxes that contain keys for firefighters to use in an emergency.

Tuesday: Redmond planning commissioner Tom Flynn . Flynn joins Joel L. Wright in vying for the seat occupied by Council President Richard Cole, who plans to retire from the council at the end of the year.

Also on Tuesday, we — one of the city's most common crimes. Department officials say the introduction of specialized crime analysts and a more holistic approach have helped them catch more thieves and build stronger court cases.

Thursday: The nationally ranked Redmond High School baseball team with Oregon State-bound Dylan Davis giving up just four hits in 5 2/3 innings of pitching. The win marked the Mustangs' third victory in four days; they will compete against Marysville-Pilchuck at 4 p.m. Monday at Hartman Park for a spot in the 4A state tournament.

Friday: We wrote about how the City of Redmond to implement Microsoft's new Dynamics AX 2012 software later this summer. City officials joined Microsoft representatives at Redmond City Hall on Thursday to celebrate the partnership, which Mayor John Marchione said will save the city hundreds of thousands of dollars each year and put Redmond on the map as the "government of the future."

Saturday: Overlake girls' lacrosse following a 19-3 victory over Kennedy on Friday night. The Owls will next face Garfield on Wednesday for their chance at a state berth.
